Liberty of the Seas Guys’ Cruise Preview: 3-Night Nassau & CocoCay Itinerary

There’s something about a short cruise that hits a little differently.

No overplanning or stress, just a quick escape, a packed schedule, and a group that’s ready to make the most of every hour onboard.

This time, we’re heading out on a 3-night sailing aboard Royal Caribbean’s Liberty of the Seas from Fort Lauderdale, with stops in Nassau and Perfect Day at CocoCay.

And this isn’t just any cruise for us, it’s our Second Annual Guys’ Cruise!

Meet the Roster

Last year set the bar pretty high… so naturally, we had to run it back.

We’ve got four returning veterans:

And this year, we’re adding two rookies to the roster:

Six guys. Three nights. A full lineup ready to perform.

Just like any good team… there’s a mix of proven talent and wildcards. We’ll see pretty quickly who shows up and who fades by Night 2.

The Plan: Nassau & CocoCay

This itinerary is kind of perfect for a guys’ trip.

Nassau, Bahamas

Nassau is what you make of it! Most of us have been here a ton, so for us, that usually means keeping things flexible.

There’s always the option to:

Let’s be honest… this will probably turn into a “go with the flow” kind of day.

Perfect Day at CocoCay

CocoCay is where things get dialed in.

This is the day we normally look forward to the most:

Last year, we did Hideaway, but this year we decided not to do any of the upcharge options on the island. We plan on spending the day (weather pending), split between one of the beaches and Oasis Lagoon!

The Liberty of the Seas Draft

Before the cruise, Frank, Blake, and I drafted our ideal Liberty of the Seas cruise.

Think fantasy sports… but instead of players, we’re drafting everything Liberty of the Seas has to offer.

To keep it structured, we broke the draft into categories:

Each of us had to build out our “team” from across those categories, meaning no one could stack all nightlife or all shows. You needed a well-rounded cruise lineup.

Some of the bigger picks across the board:

Now it’s just a matter of execution.

Because drafting it is one thing… actually making it happen on a 3-night cruise is a completely different challenge.

The real question:
Who drafted the best cruise?

Over/Under: Setting the Lines

No guy’s trip is complete without a little action… so we set some official lines for the weekend.

Think of this as our cruise sportsbook, and by the end of the trip, we’ll see who actually knew what they were talking about.

Here’s what made the board:

Some of these feel like locks… others could get out of hand quickly.

And if we’ve learned anything from last year, it only takes one night to blow up the entire board.

By the end of the cruise, we’ll be grading every line:

Drop your picks in the comments below before we sail! Are you taking the over or the under?

What Makes a 3-Night Cruise So Fun

There’s a reason we keep coming back to these shorter sailings.

A 3-night cruise on Liberty of the Seas is:

You don’t need a perfect plan; you just need a good group. Being a shorter weekend cruise, it is easier on us PTO-wise to get off of work and find time that works for all of us!

Follow Along

We’ll be sharing everything from this trip: the wins, the fun, and which over/unders hit.
